Instructions
Making the Syrup: Put the listed items into a saucepan, heat until it reaches a light boil, stirring so the sugar melts. Next, take off the burner and leave to cool down fully. Decant into a sterilised bottle, seal and refrigerate it chilled, where it will keep for up to a month.
To make Premix: Pour all the spirits and syrup into a big jug, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then filter it , ideally through muslin, to ensure it's completely strained.
To serve: Add 85ml of the premix into your mixing glass packed with ice, gently stirring gently for one minute until cold. Strain into a frosted cocktail glass or similar, garnish with a few cranberries adding the final touch using a brief mist with the mandarin essence over the top.
